Indication/Uses: Adjunct to diet for the treatment of patients w/ elevated serum triglyceride (TG) levels (Fredrickson type IV) & to reduce total cholesterol (total-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B (apo-B), non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) & TG levels & to increase HDL-C in patients w/ primary hypercholesterolemia (excluding heterozygous familial & non-familial), mixed dyslipidemia (Fredrickson type IIa & IIb) & homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia; also as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments (eg, LDL apheresis) or if such treatment are unavailable.
