Treatment of trigeminal neuralgia w/ variable success in glossopharyngeal neuralgia & other severe pain syndromes associated w/ neurological disorder eg, tabes dorsalis & multiple sclerosis. Prophylaxis of bipolar disorder unresponsive to lithium.
