Secondary skin infections: Secondary infected dermatoses eg, eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, herpes, epidermolysis bullosa, ichthyosis, and infected traumatic lesions eg, skin ulcers, minor burns, cuts, abrasions, small lacerations, sutured wounds, biopsy sites, surgical incisions & insect bites. Prophylaxis to bacterial contamination of minor burns, biopsy sites, incisions & other clean lesions. For abrasions, minor cuts & wounds; prevents the development of infection & permits wound healing.
