Indications/Uses: For the relief of cough characterized by excessive or sticky sputum or phlegm to help treat respiratory tract disorders such as acute bronchitis. Carbocisteine also reduces the number of exascerbations associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and inhibits the adherence of bacteria and virus to human respiratory cells. Carbocisteine is also used in the treatment of otitis media with effusion (glue ear).
